The Railwaymans Arms opened in 1861 as a refreshment room a year before the railway itself and has never closed. It is situated on platform 1 of the heritage railway in Bridgnorth. There are nine handpumps serving a selection of local and national real ales, one serving cider or perry. The bars contain lots of railway memorabilia and the platform drinking area is an ideal place to soak up the atmosphere of a steam railway. Very popular at weekends and holidays. There are plans for a major refurbishment when the two rooms will increase to three. The opening hours vary in Winter, when the railway is not operating. For the summer of 2023 the pub is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays except when the railway is operating.
